Position Type : Site Supervisor
32.5 hrs per week (6:30am-9:30am, 2:30pm-6:00pm) all year round.
Permanent position
Holiday entitlement 23 days plus 8 days Bank Holiday
Pay Range - Band 3 (point according to experience) to mid-point £16,998 to £19,317 per anum pro rata.
To start - 5th Jan 2015.
Governors of this happy, caring and successful school would like to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and hardworking site supervisor to manage the school premises.
If you can show a 'Sense of Pride' in ensuring that St. Pius X Catholic Primary School premises are maintained to the highest standards and that the children and staff are working in a clean, safe environment, you could be the person we are looking for
Reporting to the School Business Manager, the successful applicant will
- Have at least one year's experience of working in a similar role or be able to show that they have the necessary skills to meet the demands of the role
- Have experience of Health & Safety systems and procedures including Fire Safety, COSHH. Making 'Health & Safety' observations is an important aspect of the job
- Have good general maintenance skills, including painting and decorating and basic plumbing. Ensuring the site is well maintained and well presented at all times. This will include an element of daily cleaning and will also involve cleaning and sweeping the playground
- Manage the school security, unlocking and locking of all doors, entries and exits - ensuring the site is secure but accessible at all times
- Liaise with and monitor the work of contractors and cleaners
- Porter various equipment and supplies as necessary
- Be willing to work occasionally during the evenings and weekends when necessary.
As the primary keyholder, the site supervisor is expected to attend to emergencies outside of school hours and overtime is paid as appropriate, therefore a full driving licence is essential.
