Deputy Headteacher
Leadership Scale 8-12
NOR 421 - Required from September 2024
Following the promotion of our Deputy Headteacher to Headship, the Governing Body is seeking to appoint a leading professional, with imagination, drive and ambition, to the position of Deputy Headteacher in our popular and successful school. This post is non-class based and is an excellent career opportunity within an outstanding school.
You will need to:
- Be an outstanding teacher with leadership experience.
- Work in partnership with the Headteacher and all staff in research led improvements to the curriculum.
- Take the lead in assessment and curriculum matters.
- Take the lead in Educational Visit Risk Assessments and actively support Year 6 each year in accompanying them on a residential visit in September/October.
- Be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Have high standards and expectations in all areas of school life and be committed to raising pupil achievement.
- Be optimistic and confident in your ability to succeed, with high energy levels.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of how children learn and how to support all children to achieve their full potential.
- Analyse and present achievement and progress data.
- Be willing to develop your skills as a Headteacher in training.
