TEACHER OF GEOGRAPHY
Required for September 2025
Geography is a thriving, extremely popular subject and integral part of West Hatch High School across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. Students love the subject because of the creative way it is delivered by our experienced and collaborative team. Results for the department for A Level and GCSE are consistently in line with, and above national average. With an ICT suite in the department and a commitment to exploring the world through fieldwork, including the DofE Award and World Challenge, we aim to develop and stimulate students both in and out of the classroom. The post is suitable for an experienced practitioner or an ECT teacher.

- Swimming pool available for staff use,
- Banked cover scheme allowing staff to build time to take some term time days off,
- The Headteacher is passionate about staff workload and wellbeing and holds regular wellbeing meetings with staff,

- Additional CPD day to allow staff to mark mock internal examinations,
- All our teachers are provided with laptops and staff are welcome to work where and when they wish outside of school hours,
- We offer a significant number of paid development opportunities within departments and also across the school.
