Epping Primary School needs you! We are looking for a self-motivated, reliable, multi-skilled, proactive and organised Site Manager to join our team.
The fundamental part of this job will be premises management. This entails the maintenance and security of the building and grounds, ensuring the cleanliness of the site through management of in-house and agency cleaners, undertaking cleaning duties, safe storage of cleaning materials and ensuring the inside and outside environment are well maintained and meet Health and Safety requirements. Duties will also include being the primary key holder, checking the building daily, closing the building in the evenings, liaising with contractors and organising works. You must also be willing to undertake routine painting and decorating, gardening, DIY, maintenance, plumbing and general repairs. There will be occasional later working for Governors' meetings, weekly lettings, special events and parent's evenings for which flexibility is essential. The Site Manager is expected to attend to emergencies outside of school hours and overtime is paid as appropriate.

Hours will be 37 per week, Monday to Friday (11am to7.00pm Monday to Thursday, 11.30am to 7.00pm Friday), 52 weeks per year including holiday entitlement which must be taken during school closure time. The Site Manager also works during school holidays when hours are flexible but still total 37 per week. Please note that the salary quoted includes Inner Fringe allowance and the starting point on the scale will be set according to relevant experience.
Previous experience as a Caretaker or Site Manager or experience in the building trade is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. You should be able to demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills and be able to relate well to children and interact with them in a friendly and positive manner.
