Role: Finance Assistant
Salary: Scale 3 £18,933 to £19,312 (plus Inner Fringe £898) pro rata
(based on 2020 pay scale)
Pro rata salary £6,830.73-£6,961.27
Hours/weeks: 15 hours per week/39 weeks
We are seeking to appoint a motivated Finance Assistant from September to undertake administrative work to help ensure that efficient and effective services are provided to the school. The Finance Assistant will:
- support with financial and payroll processing ensuring the school is following best value procedures
- assist with financial administration across all functions of the school, including school lettings and asset registers
- maintain responsibility for processing orders, checking receipts, checking statements and ensuring the timely payment of invoices
- work closely with the School Business Manager and as part of the wider business support team
- help to ensure that the school is compliant with its statutory financial duties
Epping Primary School caters for pupils between the ages of 4-11 years of age and is a successful, thriving school. We have a beautiful new building, set in the countryside on the edge of the vibrant town of Epping, yet we are within walking distance of local public transport and the underground (which connects directly to London). We have lovely pupils, hardworking staff and supportive parents.
We are offering the opportunity for a suitably qualified, motivated individual to join our dedicated team and develop this new role. We are looking for someone who likes to work in a busy environment and shares our passion for providing pupils with the best start to their education.
We expect that the successful candidate will have NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and some experience of a similar role.
Hours for this role will be 15 hours per week, term time plus training days only (39 weeks per year) and can be split across two or three days a week, ideally one day being Friday.
