This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, passionate Teacher of Chemistry (ideal for a young teacher seeking first promotion) to join a forward-thinking and innovative team in this high-achieving 11-18 Academy.

Gable Hall is a high performing Converter Academy in the North East of Thurrock and a Regional Centre of Excellence for Leadership and Innovation. We have achieved four successive outstanding Ofsted behaviour judgements and our 2014 GCSE results of 74% 5+ A*-C including English and Maths, places us in the top 10 percent best 8 Value Added, nationally. Our 1 A Level pass rate 100%, 2 - 97%, 3 - 90%. You will be joining a happy, very high achieving school.

Corringham is 20 minutes' drive eastwards on the A13 from Canary Wharf, 8 miles east of the City of London. It has a green pleasant semi -rural feel, with friendly locals.

About the schools: The Ortu Federation is made up of Ortu Corringham Primary School, Ortu Gable Hall School, Ortu Hassenbrook and the Ortu Stanford and Corringham Sixth Form Centre. Teaching opportunities are available from KS1 to KS5 across the Trust.
