The Lunchtime Assistant role is key in delivering and inspiring high quality, beyond brilliant early years education, acknowledging every child is unique through our bespoke educational programmes, while supporting during the busiest part of the day, and meeting every child's individual needs. The role is key in supporting the smooth day to day running of the nursery, so that the nursery team can deliver outstanding care and education for children and families and ensure the nursery is an exceptional place to work.

About the role

This is an exciting and diverse role that covers all aspects of working within an Early Years setting, including;

Delivering Beyond Brilliant Care and Education

• Having high regards for all matters relating to safeguarding children and child protection, keeping up to date with the organisations safeguarding policies and procedures, and training, and reporting any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead
• Promoting children's sense of belonging supporting diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities for all

• Ensuring our inspiring learning environment is effective to deliver our curriculum, that the resources are of high quality, safe and fit for purpose and that both indoor, outdoor and communal areas are clean, tidy and meet professional standards
• Taking responsibility for the health and safety of themselves and adhering to organisations policies and procedures to ensure children and others are kept safe within the nursery environment
• Supporting the nursery team to delivery outstanding care and education in line with our mission and values, the Early Years Foundation Stage and our 5c's curriculum.

•Cleaning of communal areas to ensure that the nursery environment is safe, clean, tidy and professional standards are maintained

•Organising nursery laundry in line with the nursery's routine

About you

• You must be able to build meaningful relationships with all children and team, and have good communication skills and maintain confidentiality

• A real 'can do' attitude and self-motivation is essential - we need our team to love working together!

• Having a passion for working in an environment with young children is essential

• You must be eligible to work in the UK and obtain a satisfactory DBS.
