As a Wraparound Care Assistant at CMXSC, you play a vital role in creating a safe, secure and engaging environment for children during wraparound care sessions.
Your passion for working with children and commitment to their well-being will contribute to the success of our wraparound care provision.
We are open from 7:30am to 8:45am breakfast club and 15:15 to 18:00 after school club. We have both options available so morning and afternoon. You can just do breakfast club or after school. The total hours would be 22.5 hours a week for both breakfast and after school sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing and supervising activities during wraparound care sessions.
- Assist in managing attendance and parent queries.
- Create & Foster a safe and inclusive environment for children to thrive.
- Engage with children in play-based activities both indoors and outdoors.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of activities, including setup and clean-up.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations of the wraparound care setting.
- Support the settings manager in ensuring the setting is Osfted compliant.
- Ensure every child has an enjoyable time and is fully included in all activities.
- Provide care and compassion to all participants at all time.
Essentials:
- A valid Enhanced DBS
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Safeguarding Certificate
- Childcare or Primary Education qualification
- Experience in working within an educational setting
- Experience working with children
Desirable Experience:
- Level 2 Award in Childcare and Education OR Diploma for the Early Years
- Level 2 Food hygiene certificate
- FGM awareness
- Prevent Duty knowledge
- Child sexual exploitation knowledge
- County Lines knowledge
Expected hours: 7.5 (Breakfast only) - 13.75 hours (Afternoon only) 22.5 (Breakfast and After School) per week
