Employment Type: Permanent Contract

Hours: 10 hrs per week (Term Time only & All-Year Round)

Salary: Essex School's Pay Scale, Scale 1 Spine Point 2 - actual starting salary (including fringe but excluding pending 2024 pay award):

Term-time only role - £5,210 per annum

All-year round role - £6,106 per annum (this role will include 6.5 weeks paid holiday per year)

Working Pattern: 6:00 am - 8:00 am, Monday to Friday

We are seeking two cleaners for Chapel Hill Primary School & Nursery, a new primary school opening in September 2024 on the Redrow Westley Green Development in Basildon (SS16 5NQ). Once all year groups are admitted, the school will be 2-form entry with 420 pupils, however it will be opening at a reduced capacity in September 2024. We are seeking one person to work term-time only and the other to work all year round.

We are looking for dedicated cleaners who are committed to maintaining a clean and inviting atmosphere for our pupils, staff, and guests. Your role will be integral in upholding cleanliness standards within our school. The successful candicates will be reliable and flexible and will:

have experience of general cleaning;
an awareness of basic Health & Safety procedures; and
the ability to work alone and as part of a team.

These are manual roles and candidates are advised that duties can be physically demanding.
