Swimming Teacher Level 2 with RLSS NPLQ (or possibly RLSS NRASTC)
Job Type: Casual (approx. Apr - November, Term time only)
Working hours:
Part time, 10 ½ hours per week worked between 9am and 3pm. Plus two 45 minute afterschool clubs per week (3.30pm - 4.15pm). Days are negotiable but are to fit within school timetable.
Salary: Negotiable Start date:As soon as possible.
Blackmore Primary School is seeking an experienced Level 2 qualified swimming teacher ideally with NPLQ or possibly NRASTC and is committed and passionate about swimming teaching.
What we expect from you:
· Deliver high standards of swimming teaching for children ranging from 4-11 year old.
· Ensure all swimming lessons are conducted in a safe environment and are delivered to the highest possible standard.
· Be familiar with a current swimming programme and have knowledge of the expectations of the National Curriculum. Provide lesson plans.
· Accurately record pupil attendance, assess pupils progress and report to teachers.
· Have an excellent swimming ability which is up to date on current and modern teaching techniques.
· Be highly skilled and a positive role model, creating an environment in which to motivate and encourage young people to participate.
· Have excellent behaviour management strategies to ensure pupils achieve to the best of their ability.
Essential Qualifications:
· Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification.
· A current nationally recognised rescue test qualification such as RLSS NPLQ or RLSS NRASTC qualification.
· A current First Aid qualification

· Opportunity to carry out your own private swimming lessons in accordance to our letting policy. Must hold valid NPLQ / insurance.
