We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our happy, friendly school. The role involves supporting a child in our Reception class who has Type 1 diabetes.
The successful candidate will need:
Experience of working with or caring for children;
A patient, nurturing, therapeutic attitude;
Excellent communication skills;
To be willing to understake diabetes training;
To support the child with their daily medical needs including finger pricking, administering insulin injections, monitoring glucose levels and any other duties directed on the care plan;
To be hard working and a real team player;
A clear commitment to the safeguarding of all children.
Hours would be 8.45am -3.15pm Monday to Friday, term time only.
