Breakfast and After School Club Assistant
Pay Band - Band 1 National Pay Spine 1
We would like to appoint a confident, proactive and creative individual to work alongside our team in our breakfast and after school club. The ideal person would have some experience of working within a school, play work or childcare setting.
The hours are Monday- Friday (term time only including INSET days)
7am -9am for Breakfast Club and/or 3pm-6pm for Afterschool Club. We are looking to appoint candidates for either or both roles.
The role includes supervising the children, ensuring their safety at all times, engaging with them in aspects of play and conversation, setting up activities for children to optionally take part in, meet and greet parents and provide them with feedback on their child's time at the club and food preparation. Having fun in a safe environment!
The successful candidate must be passionate and enthusiastic, able to create a fun and creative working environment for children. A Level 2 or 3 qualification in play work or childcare or willing to work towards this qualification would be an advantage, but not essential. Paediatric first aid and food hygiene qualifications are desirable and the successful candidate must be willing to undertake further essential training.

Information about the School
Barnes Farm Infant School is a school for 4 -7 year old children in Chelmsford, Essex. We have a wonderful team of staff, active and informed governors and supportive families who all help the children to be safe and happy and to make exceptional progress. It is our aim to make sure that all members of our school community are supported and feel included and valued.
The children are divided into classes according to age. Children will progress through the National Curriculum on an individual basis with appropriate individual educational plans being provided for children with special educational needs and for gifted and talented pupils.
