Daytime Cleaner
Pay Range: Local Government Band 1 capped at midpoint £17,364 per annum (Point 1) Actual Salary: £8653
Start Date: September 2019
The Role
We are seeking an outstanding individual to undertake cleaning within the school according
to Procedures Codes using a variety of methods including machinery and adhering to safety
regulations.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
· To carry out cleaning in all and any areas of the school
· Frequency of cleaning to be undertaken as directed by Procedure Codes
· Assisting with the locking and unlocking of school buildings and rooms including windows
· To carry out as necessary the replacement to roller towels, renewing supply of toilet rolls, refill soap dispensers and replacement of bin liners

We're looking for you if you have:
· Experience in industrial cleaning and use of machinery
· Ability to consistently carry out duties to a high standard
· Ability to communicate routine information effectively with others
· Ability to work as part of a team in a flexible way as required

This post is 22 hours per week, 38 weeks per year plus inset days (Term Time plus inset days), however, we are willing to consider applications from people who are able to work fewer hours per week.

Information about the School
St Helena School, part of the Sigma Trust, is a highly-regarded 11-16 co-educational Academy, recognised as Good by Ofsted in 2014 and now on a journey to Outstanding. Located on 17 acres in historic Colchester, the school has a fine blend of traditional and modern facilities and opened a £2.5m new Science block in 2015, and a £2.5m all weather pitch facility in February 2016.
On 1 September 2016, the school joined The Sigma Trust, a partnership of schools with The Stanway School, The Thomas Lord Audley School, Clacton County High School, Monkwick Junior School and Monkwick Infants School and Nursery.
