The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Colne Community School for a Learning Support Lead responsible for Physical Neurological Impairment to join our SEND Team.

We have a new teaching block consisting of 8 new classrooms and 4 specialist Design and Technology rooms fully equipped. • This post is 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year + 1 non-pupil day.
• The working hours will be 08:30am until 15:30pm Monday to Friday (with a 30-minute unpaid break each day).

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• To work with individual students and groups, under the direction of the SENCo, in order to raise achievement for SEND students.
• To help students, specifically with needs relating to PNI, to access the full curriculum, at the same time promoting independent learning.
• To observe students' performance, and using the systems in place in the school, provide the SENCo with feedback on student progress and help to maintain individual and group records.

We're looking for you if you have:

• GCSE Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent
• Ability to understand and support children with developmental difficulty or disability
• ICT skills to support learning
