THE COLNE COMMUNITY SCHOOL
CLEANER - 10 hours per week
Pay Range: Local Government Scale 1, Point 2
Actual Salary: £5,775 per annum
Start Date: ASAP
The Role
We are seeking an outstanding cleaner to join our friendly team. In this role you will be undertaking cleaning within the school using a variety of methods. This will include using machinery and adhering to safety regulations.
- This post is 10 hours per week, 42 weeks per year (term time, plus 4 weeks during the school closure period).
- Hours Available: Monday to Friday: 3.10pm - 5.10pm
- Please note that we reserve the right to close this advert early should we receive an overwhelming response.
- Should you be successful during the shortlisting process interviews will be held face to face at the school.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- To carry out cleaning in all and any areas of the school
- Frequency of cleaning to be undertaken as directed by Procedures codes
- Assisting with the locking and unlocking of school buildings and rooms
- To carry out as necessary the replacement to roller towels, renewing supply of toilet rolls and replacement of bin liners
- To assist as necessary with the cleaning up after break-in or vandalism at the school
- In emergency situations to assist with the clearing of snow and ice from paths and entries
- To undertake training in the correct use of cleaning equipment such as floor machines
- Vacs, wet pick-ups and in health and safety and the use of cleaning Chemicals
- Applicants must have the ability to use general cleaning products and be able to follow instructions
- No specific experience is required as training will be given
