Endeavour Co-operative Academy (part of Keys Co-operative Academy Trust) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic & dedicated Assistant Headteacher to contribute to the leadership of our amazing school.
This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to be part of the Senior Leadership Team as Endeavour continues to expand. We are in the process of a complete redevelopment of our main site funded by the DfE for learners 5-16 due to be completed in early 2026 and the redevelopment of our sixth form site in the near future funded by Essex.
This role involves joining the current senior team of Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and 2 Assistant Headteachers. Each Assistant Head is responsible for either Upper or Lower School and supports their Key Stage Leaders in all aspects of their role including ensuring safe and engaging teaching environments, high quality teaching and learning, ambitious curriculums and preparing all learners for adulthood. Although experience in a special school will be desirable, it is not a necessity, as potential to manage the demands of the role will be more important.
Endeavour joined Keys Cooperative Trust in December 2018, when converting to an academy. The school is part of ESSET, the association of Essex special schools.
Applications are welcome from teachers with experience in any phase of education.
