Shorefields is a special needs school for pupils aged 3 - 19 with complex learning difficulties (SLD, PMLD, ASD).
We have a vacancy for a teaching assistant apprentice to join a supportive and committed staff team working to support the educational and welfare needs of our pupils.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate excellent literacy, nuneracy and ICT skills. Potential candidates are expected to have acheived GCSE A-C or 9-5 in English, Maths and a science subject. This is a physically demanding role and a certain level of fitness is required.
This is a term time only position, plus non-pupil days.
32 hours per week, Monday to Friday. (including 5.75 hours per week study time)
Actual gross annual salary for this position is £9,236.48. (Full time equivalent of £12,346.75 per annum, calculated by £6.40 x 37 hours per week x 52.14 weeks per year)
This is a fixed term appointment for 18 months from commencement of the apprenticeship.

Shorefields School caters for the needs of pupils with a range of severe learning difficulties. We currently have 154 pupils on roll aged between 3 and 19 years. The school is located in the centre of Clacton close to the beach and shopping area. Our catchment area extends to the whole of the Tendring peninsula
