Job Summary

You would be joining a well-established and friendly speech and language team where CPD opportunities are provided and encouraged. We can offer opportunities for professional development and career growth within the expanding trust. Regular supervision, support and guidance would be provided by a fellow Specialist Speech and Language Therapist.
The speech and language team works closely with teaching staff and other professionals to support the speech, language, and communication needs of the children across the school and college. Our aim is for all children to have a form of communication that works for them, that enables them to access the curriculum and that is functional so that they can use it outside of school and college. To do this you would be expected to manage your own caseload, assess children across the school and to then use the evidence base, your knowledge and experience to plan the level of therapy. You would also be expected to carry out training sessions for teachers, teaching assistants and parents/carers when needed.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop specialist clinical skills supporting children with a range of communication difficulties from the age of 4-18 years. We are looking for a therapist who enjoys being part of a hard-working team, and who is productive, creative and has a positive attitude.
