Catering Manager
We are looking for a friendly, experienced and enthusiastic Catering Manager to prepare fresh meals of a high quality for our pupils at Colne Engaine. The successful candidate will become part of our friendly and hard-working team which is dedicated to ensuring our children are safe, learn well and are well cared for.
We are a friendly and supportive, oversubscribed rural primary school and highly value our strong links with the local community. We were graded as good in our most recent Ofsted, which reflects the hard work and commitment of our staff, pupils, and governors. We are part of the Diocese of Chelmsford Vine Schools Trust. The successful candidate must:
• have experience of working in a kitchen environment
• be trained to level 3 Food Safety or be willing to work towards this
• be able to plan a balanced, nutritious menu
• be willing and able to organise theme days
• have experience with food ordering, stock and budget management
• have experience line managing a small kitchen team
• be familiar with food standards and food hygiene regulations
• display a professional attitude
• remain calm under pressure
• communicate well with parents, carers and members of staff, as well as pupils
• be committed to supporting the values and ethos of our Church school.

Salary
25 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9am to 2pm.
Term time only.
Scale 5, points 9 to 12.
Actual Salary starting from £14,192.41
Full Time Equivalent £25,119 - £26,421
