Post: Caretaker
Hours: 25 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year (5 weeks holiday entitlement)
Contract: Permanent contract
Salary: Scale 6, Point 13 £18,157.43 per annum (full time equivalent salary £26,873)
Start date: 10th October 2024
Location: St James' Church of England Primary and Nursery School. Colchester
Our school has been serving the community for over 150 years and we provide a caring and nurturing environment for all the children attending St James'.
We are looking to appoint a Caretaker to take care of our school building and grounds.
The role involves:
· Organising and managing the caretaking / cleaning team
· Completing regular and adhoc maintenance tasks
· Ensuring the buildings and grounds are secure
Ideally you will have:
· A good range of DIY skills such as decorating, minor plumbing and carpentry
· Excellent communication skills
· Secure knowledge of ICT and email
· Previous experience of basic health and safety
