Job Title: SENCo / Inclusion Lead

Main Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the provision for special educational needs (SEN) within the school.
Develop and oversee the implementation of the school's SEN strategy and policy.
Carry out assessments of pupils with SEN to identify needs and monitor progress.
Support classroom teachers in the identification and assessment of students with SEN.
Coordinate the support for students with SEN, liaising with staff, parents, and external agencies.
Promote the inclusion of all students within the school community.
Take on pastoral duties, supporting the emotional and social well-being of pupils.
Work with the senior leadership team to ensure the school's policies and practices are inclusive.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Qualified teacher status.
National Award for SEN Coordination or willingness to work towards it (SENCO qualification required).
Strong understanding of SEN legislation and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
