We are looking to appoint a Catering Manager to run our school kitchen, providing healthy nutritious meals for our children.
The appointment would initially be for 1 year with the option to become permanent should the venture prove to be successful.
22.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday term time only (38 weeks) 09.15 - 13.45
Pay scale 4 point 8, but possibly scale 5 depending on experience.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the operational efficiency of the catering service, planning, preparation and presentation of our school meals to the required standard.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is highly motivated and dedicated
- Has excellent organisational skills
- Has good rapport with children
- Is able to complete food safety records
- Can operate and control stock
- Understands budgeting and cost control principles
- Has strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Feels they can make a real impact on the lives of our pupils
We currently serve an average of 55 meals a day but are hoping to increase this figure once we produce our own healthy, nutritious and exciting menu.
