MONKWICK INFANT SCHOOL

Job Role: Learning Support Assistant (EYFS)

Pay Range: Local Government Scale 3 (Point 5-6)

Actual Salary From: £15,077 - £15,316 per annum

Hours/Weeks: 26.25 hours, 39 working weeks

Start Date: 6th January 2025 - Fixed term until 31st August 2025

Working Hours: 08:45am - 15:00pm Monday-Friday with a 60 minute unpaid lunch break

The Role

We are seeking an EYFS LSA to complement the professional work of teachers by supporting children with additional needs in the classroom. Working with individuals and small groups of children supporting with learning, behaviour and communication under the direction of the class teacher.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

● To provide support to pupils with additional needs across EYFS and provide particular and skilled support to pupils with severe learning, behavioural, communication, social, sensory or physical difficulties

● Working with individuals or small groups of children under the direction of teaching staff

● Understand specific learning needs and styles and provide differentiated support to pupils individually and within a group

● Promote the inclusion and acceptance of children with special needs within the classroom ensuring access to lessons and their content through appropriate clarification, explanation and resources

We're looking for you if you have:

● GCSE Maths and English at Grace C or above.

● Experience of working with EYFS children.

● Ability to interact positively with pupils, parents and colleagues.

● Ability to supervise and organise pupils.
