Salary: Teacher's Main Scale 1- 6

£33,074 - £45,037 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our school and help shape its future. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher within our Alternative Provision. The provision aims to support children's SEMH and behaviour needs within a designated period so that they are successful and can return to their 'home school'. We are keen to appoint someone with a proven track record as an effective practitioner with experience of working with children with challenging behaviour.

This position will involve:

· Supporting pupils, to ensure they are engaged in learning activities

· Managing challenging in line with the school's behaviour policy

· Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom

· Acting as a role model, setting high expectations of conduct and promoting positive pupil behaviour, to create a safe and inclusive learning environment

· Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school's policies and procedures about health & safety, welfare and wellbeing and safeguarding

· establishing positive relationships with the pupils, parents and other staff in the school

Information about the School

East Tilbury Primary School & Nursery converted to Academy Status in April 2012 as a partner in St Cleres Co-operative Academy Trust. We are a three/four form entry school in a semi-rural location, only a 5 minute walk from East Tilbury Station which is on the C2C Fenchurch - Shoeburyness Line. .

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
