We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our busy Catering Team. The school has 2 sites and the successful candidate will be required to work at either site. The hours will be 19.75 per week, term time only as follows:
Monday 11.15 am to 2 pm
Tuesday & Thursday 9.45 am to 2 pm
Wednesday & Friday 10 am to 2.15 pm
The successful candidate will be:
· Able to work as part of a team under the direction of the Catering Manager
· Sensitive to the dietary needs of children and staff
· Able to communicate effectively
· Able to engage in training appropriate for the needs of the role. Although experience of working in a catering environment is desirable, it is not essential
· Supportive of the ethos of this Church of England school
Duties include:
· Preparation of food under the direction of the Catering Manager or her Assistant
· Serving meals to children and staff
· Clearing/cleaning the hall, setting up and putting away tables and chairs daily
· Clearing, cleaning cutlery, plates, equipment etc and use of the dishwasher
· General kitchen cleaning and putting away deliveries
