Safeguarding, Pastoral & Family Liaison Officer

37.5 hours, 45 weeks per year Actual Salary would range from £22,432 (point 8) to £23,916 (point 12)

We are looking for a colleague to join our safeguarding team and to provide support for families and pupils. We are a caring and supportive, two-form entry Catholic school in Southend, serving a diverse community.

We are looking for:
● an enthusiastic and motivated person who has experience of working in a school ● an excellent team player who can be flexible when needed
● a proactive, solution-focussed adult who can interact with pupils and parents, supporting their development and helping to overcome challenges with love and care
● a person who can both support and confidently challenge pupils and parents with sensitivity
● a person with knowledge and experience of safeguarding matters and liaison with external (including social) services, or with a willingness to learn quickly
● a person who reflects on their role and aims to explore ways of improving our service
● somebody who is happy to support the loving, Christian ethos of the school
