We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and efficient Assistant Librarian on a part-time basis. The post involves working closely with staff and pupils and would suit someone who is confident and motivated.
You will need to be flexible, and able to work on your own initiative, as well as having the ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
Hours per week: 10.5 hours to be worked over three days - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (3.5 hours per day)
Start time: 10.30am
Finish time: 2.00pm
Excellent IT skills are a must, as is a good sense of humour. Some previous experience would be an advantage, although not essential.
The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Key Information for candidates regarding terms and conditions:
Hours per week: 10.5 hours
Working pattern: 3.5 hours per day on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday only from 10.30am to 2.00pm
Working weeks per year: 39 weeks term time only, including non-pupil days.
Location: The post is based in the school.
Start date: Required as soon as possible.
Holiday entitlement: Pro-rated holiday entitlement (includes public holidays) for this post is 5.5 weeks. The successful candidate will work during each week of term time including non-pupil days. Holiday will be deemed to be taken during school closure periods. There is no entitlement to take holiday during term time.
Pay: The post is paid on Essex Schools' Local Government Pay Scale 3, point 4 (within range 4-5). The full time equivalent pay for this Scale is £19,264 when working 52.14 weeks per year. The actual salary for this term time post based on the hours and weeks outlined above will be £4,665.77 per year. These figures include the holiday pay entitlement for someone with less than 5 years' service.
Employees are paid monthly in twelve equal instalments per year.
Probation: All individuals new to employment with the academy/academy trust/Essex County Council will be required to satisfactorily complete a six month probationary period.
