The College is seeking to employ an experienced and enthusiastic Teacher of the Deaf to work within our (INSPIRE) SEND Provision supporting a number of learners with hearing impairment on our vocational courses.
You will have the ability to assess the needs of learners with hearing impairment and develop appropriate support plans. The role will require you to adapt and create appropriate materials and devise strategies to support learners' needs.
Successful candidates will enjoy delivering individual and small group teaching with deaf students and will support academic teams and other staff to understand needs of deaf learners through the delivery of appropriate training.
You will have experience of working with students with EHCPs. Awareness of other SEND conditions will be an advantage.
This post is a two-year fixed post and is term-time only.
Applications are welcome from candidates who hold QTS and a Teacher of the Deaf qualification and Level 3 BLS or above.
