Early Years Pre-School Deputy Manager

We are looking for a Deputy Manager who can work alongside the existing team to continue to develop the exploratory learning development of all our children in a child led, fun way following the Montessori approach. We welcome practitioners who value the importance of teamwork, can offer a warm smile to make every child feel special, but above all, take pride in being part of children's learning journeys.

We are seeking someone who is passionate about childcare, possess strong leadership skills As Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and development of children under your care.

Applicants must hold a relevant level 3 qualification in the Early Years Workforce or an NVQ equivalent, together with management/deputy management experience in a childcare setting.

The pre-school is open for 38 weeks of the year (term time only), however, applicants will be paid monthly over the course of the whole year. Holiday pay will also be paid and this will be in addition to the rate of pay featured above.

The positions hours and salary will be discussed at interview.

Duties:

· Manage all aspects of the nursery, including staffing, curriculum development, and safety protocols

· Provide leadership and guidance to nursery staff to create a nurturing and stimulating environment
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and external stakeholders

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of childcare services

· Oversee the implementation of early childhood education programs

· Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and licensing requirements

Essential Criteria:

· Friendly and flexible approach at work which facilitates the development of effective relationships

· Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and relevant legislation

· Strong knowledge of Early Years child development

· Excellent organisational, communication - written and verbal, and interpersonal skills

· Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team

· Ability to negotiate and consult at all levels

· Ability to work effectively as a team member

· Strong knowledge of child protection procedures

· Commitment to equal opportunities

· Willingness to learn and undertake professional development
