Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. -3:20 pm a.m. with a 30 minutes break for lunch.
Initially this job is being offered on a fixed term basis until the end of the summer term 2025.
We are inviting applications for the post of Learning Support Assistant, to commence as soon as possible to help our friendly teaching staff in this happy, well-resourced school, rated 'Good' in all areas.
This post is to provide support for children with additional needs, who have an Education and Health Care plan (EHCP) in place. The children are working below the level for a reception children, so knowledge of working with nursery age children would be an advantage, although training would be given. This post may require physical intervention and intimate care - training will be given.
We are looking for a someone who:
Has experience working with children with high needs in order to support them to reach their full potential.
Is confident to deal with social, emotional and behaviour issues, underpinning approaches on positive relationships and mutual respect.
Provides good evidence that their knowledge and abilities are closely matched to the person specification.
Is positive, flexible and warm and friendly with children, parents and colleagues.
Has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
Enjoys taking an active role in the work and development of the school.
Is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of our children.
