PEOPLE & CULTURE (HR) BUSINESS PARTNER

Pay Range: Local Government Scale 11 £46,464 - £50,512 (Point 38 - 42)

Full Time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)

Place of Work: Clacton on Sea with travel to schools across North East Essex

Start Date: As soon as possible

The Role

We are seeking an outstanding individual to join our team as a People and Culture (HR) Business Partner. Working closing with the Director of People and Culture and the wider HR team, you will provide high-quality operational and strategic support to the schools across our Trust. As well as taking responsibility for leading on complex casework and other employee relations matters, you will have the opportunity to work with the Director of People and Culture to continue to drive forward the Trust's People and Culture Strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated HR professional to join our team.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong relationships with senior leaders, Headteachers and Deputy Headteachers to support, coach and guide them in the effective management of all people matters.
  • Working with the Director of People and Culture, Trust senior leaders and the People & Culture team in supporting the implementation of the Trust's People Strategy.
  • Working with the Director of People and Culture in designing and delivering innovative organisational development solutions in response to workforce needs, such as improving employee engagement, diversity and equality initiatives, wellbeing initiatives, recruitment and retention solutions and succession planning.
  • Providing expert Support and advice to managers in relation to complex casework in line with Trust policies and procedures, while ensuring adherence to relevant employment law.

We're looking for you if you have:

  • Experience supporting with the delivery of HR/People & Culture Strategy across a medium to large organisation.
  • Experience of dealing with complex casework, including disciplinaries and grievances, working closely with unions.
  • Excellent communication skills, including high standards of written communication, grammar and spelling.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to prioritise and meet deadlines.
