The Alderton Infant School and Nursery - Nursery/Early Years Practitioner (Level 3)


The Alderton Infant School is excited to be opening a nursery provision in September 2024. We are looking to create a dynamic Early Years team to run alongside our existing school team.


The headteacher and Governing Body are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Early Years Practitioner to work in our new nursery, 32.5 hours per week. The post will suit an experienced individual with an Early Years background. The ideal candidate will be working closely with a Class Teacher and Early Years LSA in our new setting.


The Alderton Infant School is a successful and friendly school situated in Loughton, Essex. We are a member of the Epping Forest Schools Partnership Trust which was formed in 2018 and work collaboratively with the other schools in our academy. We are a two form entry school for pupils between the ages of 3 and 7 years.


The successful candidate will need to:

- Be an inspiring practitioner with a sound knowledge of child development, particularly EYFS
- Plan and understand the development of preschool children
- Be passionate about providing creative and enriching learning opportunities
- Committed to helping children thrive and get the best start in life
- Be hardworking, proactive and able to reflect the good practise of our current school community
- Build strong relationships with the whole school community
- Have excellent organisational skills and a desire to ensure children are safe and happy
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills and have experience working in a similar role
- Develop a positive partnership with parents and professionals

We are part of The Epping Forest Schools Partnership Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust of fifteen Primary and one Special School all based in the Epping Forest District. Along with our SCITT (School-Centred Initial Teacher Training), School Improvement Team, Well-being Service and Resourced Provisions based in three of our schools, we are a leading educational organisation in Epping Forest.

EFSPT was formed in 2018 from a consortium of schools that had worked together for over 20 years, and are committed to collaborative working to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children and school communities.
