An opportunity has arisen for a Kitchen assistant to join our happy, friendly team at Ryedene Primary & Nursery School.
The position is for 17.5 hours per week Mon - Fri 10.30 - 2:00pm.
Some of your key responsibilities will be:
· To undertake all aspects of cleaning equipment (light and heavy), walls (up to 6ft.) floors, fixtures and fittings, cooking utensils, cutlery, glassware etc. as directed
. The preparation and simple cooking of food & beverages
· To maintain a high standard of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene to comply with statutory and school regulations.
·Serving pupils and staff from the counter hatch
· Using initiative as well as being able to follow clear guidelines and protocols
· Working effectively as part of a busy team
Training and ongoing support will be available as part of our commitment to staff development.
Relevant experience is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
