Canewdon C of E Primary School has an exciting opportunity for an Office Assistant to join the team as soon as possible.

The hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday, including a 1 hour break. 30 hours per week term time only for 38 weeks per year.

Salary Scale 3 Point 5 (Range 5-6) Actual Salary: £15,933 per annum (April 2024 Pay rise pending ) includes paid annual leave which must be taken during school closure periods.

We are looking to appoint an Office Assistant to support the admin team and school in general.

The successful candidate will:

· be comfortable being the first welcoming point of contact for most visitors to our school
· understand the very confidential nature of this role
· have experience of working in admin, preferably with school IT systems
· be flexible and understanding - each day in a school can be different from the last!
· have excellent communication skills - you will be expected to liaise with staff, pupils, parents and external agencies
· work as part of a team as well as independently; adhering to the school policies at all times
· be organised - a school office can be a very busy place to work
· be patient with the children in our care, including making safeguarding a first priority
· be happy to administer first aid; training can be given
· have an understanding of the caring attitude and commitment essential to such a role, and be willing to support this
· have GCSE English and Maths at grades A-C or an equivalent qualification

Canewdon Endowed CofE (VC) Primary School is part of a federation of two schools.
