Site Assistant vacancy

Salary: Scale 3 point 5 - 6 (£9,527-£9,686)

Location: Thundersley Primary School

Contract type: Part time hours / Full time weeks

Contract term: Fixed term one year contract

15 hours per week

Initial working pattern: 15:30pm to 18:30pm Monday to Thursday and 16:00pm to 19:00pm on Fridays.

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, efficient, hardworking, and conscientious person to join our school team as an Site Assistant.

This is a highly valued and responsible position and we require a team player that has high standards, good inter-personal skills as well as being able to show initiative.

We are seeking a committed, reliable, flexible and highly motivated individual with bags of common sense, as well as outstanding technical and organisational skills.

We are seeking someone with a broad range of skills, such as: basic carpentry, basic plumbing, painting and decorating. It is desirable for the applicant to have good administrative skills and the ability to be trained and apply regulations such as health & safety, manual handling, COSHEH and Legionella. A clean driving licence is desirable but not essential. Duties will include: assisting the Site Manager with the day to day running of the site, security and safety, maintenance and cleanliness of the site including gardening and grounds maintenance, running the swimming pool & keyholder duties.
