St Michael's Primary School & Nursery is looking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring special education needs learning support assistant (SEN LSA) to start in September 2024.
We are particularly interested in speaking with individuals who have experience of working with children who have speech and language difficulties and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and those that have knowledge on specific interventions such as attention bucket. This role also includes lunchtime cover.
Learning Support Assistants are an integral factor within our workforce. They bring vital skills in supporting children with a variety of needs, including those children with Education Health Care Plans (EHCP's).
We require a committed, passionate person who:
· has experience of working with SEND pupils in a school setting;
· is patient and resilient with a positive nature;
· is self-motivated and can use their own initiative;
· has high expectations of self and others;
· has proven behaviour management skills;

This is a permanent position. Hours of work - 28 hours 45 minutes (0900 to 15:15), 5 days a week during term time, including INSET Days.
