Receptionist: School Administrator
Scale 3 Points 5-6 (£23,500-£23,893 salary at FTE)
Actual salary £20,418 (under 5 years service)
37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week,Term time only
Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
Kingswode Hoe School is a welcoming, positive and supportive 'Good' special school environment for pupils aged 5-16 years with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and complex needs.

We are looking for a positive, well-organised and excellent communicator to cover our busy Reception desk and assist our School Support Team with admin tasks.
The successful candidate will be:
- Skilled in communication with school staff, parents and carers, external organisation and all stakeholders
- Confident and capable
- Able to create a positive and welcoming environment for parents and visitors
- Able to adapt approaches and understand different points of view
- Able to work flexibly and prioritise tasks
We are looking for someone with a pro-active, supportive and hard-working approach, able to model and develop our GROW ethos.
This role will involve working with our KHS School Support Team. The Receptionist will need to maintain confidentiality and be professional in all areas of communication.

Information about the School
Kingswode Hoe is a special school for pupils with complex learning difficulties. We take pupils aged between 5 and 16 (Y1 - Y11) living in the Colchester area. All pupils are admitted to the school by the Statutory Assessment team of Essex Local Authority based at Essex House in Colchester. We are currently funded for 151 places.
