1-1 Learning Support Assistant
Fixed Term till 31 August 2025
Salary: Band A Point 1
(£16,588.70 per annum)
31 hours 15 minutes per week
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 3:15pm (with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break)
38 weeks of the year - term time plus inset
Start Date: 2nd September 2024

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1-1 SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with a specific pupil, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs and help them thrive academically, socially, and have experience working within an EYFS or SEND setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1-1 support to a designated pupil, both in and out of the classroom.
- Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other learning programs.
- Support the pupil in developing social skills and managing behaviour.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the pupil's needs are met.
- Monitor and record the pupil's progress, providing feedback to relevant stakeholders.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable but not essential.
