Librarian & Literacy Assistant
LGS Scale 7 Points 19-24 (£27,852 to £31,099) pro rata
(32 hrs/week - 39 weeks/year - Term time plus 5 INSET days) Actual Salary £20,656.32 - £23,064.44
Start Date: January 2023
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Librarian & Literacy Assistant to manage, develop and promote our school library. The successful candidate will:
• Deliver engaging literacy lessons, including the Reading Pro Programme and Literacy interventions
• Manage the administration of the school's online literacy software
• Have a passion for reading and the ability to encourage a love of reading among students
• Be committed to meeting the literacy needs of all students, including Sixth Form and SEND students
• Have excellent communication, numeracy, literacy and ICT skills
Relevant qualifications and experience of working with children and/or in a library are desirable.
