We are looking for an energetic, reliable, strong and empathetic leader to join our fabulous residential staff team for the post of Night Awake Supervisor

Hours: 37 per week, term time only including non pupil days (39 weeks per year)

Days: Monday - Thursday night (Start time 21.45pm finishing 7.20am with a short break included)

Actual starting salary from: £25,528.04

Scale : 7 (Points 19-24)

Responsible to: Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher and Head of Care

Responsible for: residential night awake staff

As Night Awake Supervisor you are expected to take responsibility for ensuring that the children and young people receive a level of residential care which displays a commitment to the philosophy outlined by Lexden Springs Residential Special School.

Our aim is to promote a positive, caring environment which focuses upon and addresses the needs of each individual child or young person.

Expectations In fulfilling your role you will be expected to:

It is therefore your task to challenge and change any policies, procedures or practice which is discriminatory or prejudicial and which does not reflect or promote the ethos of the school and ensure that they successfully reflect good practice and expectations of Ofsted and legal guidance.

Ensure that all children and young people are treated with dignity and respect, in an environment which reflects the importance of and their right to be treated as valuable worthwhile individuals.

As Night Awake Supervisor you are expected to maintain strict confidentiality in all areas of your work.

Work towards a level 3 or 4 diploma in residential care qualification

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
