Higher Level Teaching Assistant required for Greenways Primary School
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HLTA to join our happy, vibrant learning community from September 2024. The role will involve supporting children with special educational needs as well as group and whole-class support.
Hours: 37 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 8.00 am to 4.15 pm and Friday 8.00 am to 3.45 pm (including a 45-minute break each day)
Term time plus Inset days
Level 6, Salary scale points 13 - 20
FTE salary £26,873 to £30,296
Actual salary £23,294.82 - £26,262.04
The successful applicant will be:
- An outstanding practitioner committed to working in partnership with class teachers to raise standards and develop every aspect of our children including their communication and language skills
- Passionate about helping children to overcome barriers to their learning, including behaviours that challenge
- Able to think creatively to make learning exciting and relevant
- Highly organised and able to manage their time effectively
- Reflective practitioners who are keen to develop and progress
- Positive, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a wider team
- Educated to at least GCSE grade C or equivalent in Maths and English (an NVQ or equivalent in Learning Support or Early Years is also desirable)

Our large primary school is a happy, vibrant learning community situated in Southend-on-Sea.
The school is situated only 300m from the beach. We are blessed to have a large site with some fantastic facilities including our own swimming pool, Forest Schools area, environmental area and pond as well as two large playing fields.
