SCHOOL BUSINESS MANAGER
24 hours per week / Scale 9
41 weeks (term time plus two additional weeks)
We are seeking to appoint a forward-thinking School Business Manager, who will work as part of our team and can:
- as part of the Senior Leadership Team, provide high quality strategic leadership on business functions within the school, including financial planning, stakeholder management and resource allocation in support of the school's vision, aims and objectives
- provide professional leadership and management of business support staff (office and premises team) to enhance their performance
- lead on the effective and efficient delivery of business support services across the school
- be proactive in developing new systems, manage multiple projects and ensure the school is compliant with legislation and internal policies.
Epping Primary School caters for pupils between the ages of 4 - 11 years of age and is a successful, thriving school. We have a beautiful modern building, set on the edge of the countryside in the vibrant market town of Epping, yet we are within walking distance of local public transport and the underground (which connects directly to London). We have lovely pupils, hardworking staff and supportive parents.
This is an extremely exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious, visionary Business Manager with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to become part of our dedicated team.We are looking for someone who likes to work in a busy environment and shares our passion for providing pupils with the best start to their education.The School Business Manager will have a unique opportunity, in this new role, to work alongside Governors and the Headteacher to strategically shape, organise and manage the effective running of all business systems and personnel.
We expect that the successful candidate will have a recognised management/business degree or other equivalent qualification such as CSBM, DSBM, ADSBM or proven equivalent experience.
Hours for this role will be 24 hours per week, term time plus training days only (39 weeks per year) pro rata and two additional weeks.
