Early Years Key Worker

Hours of work: 32.50 hours per week, 39 working weeks per year

Salary Banding: Band 1 of the HEARTS Pay Scale

Salary: £23,055 full-time equivalent including fringe allowance

Actual Salary: £17,205.98 per year.

Hilltop Infant School are looking to recruit an Early Years Key Worker to join their friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will be experienced and enjoy working closely with the class teacher, supporting the needs of early years children.

The successful applicant will:

  • provide a stimulating and safe environment for children in which they can develop to their full potential;
  • supervise children in various activities;
  • establish positive relationships with children and their parent/carer;
  • promote an inclusive and acceptance for all children, including those with special needs;
  • monitor and record children's activities, progress and development;
  • record detailed observations; and
  • sssist children with snack time, including the preparation of food, assisting with eating and clearing up.

Qualifications and experience:

  • educated to a minimum level 2 in Childcare;
  • achieved grade C and above in maths and English;
  • child protection and safeguarding legislation and procedures;
  • basic First Aid; and
  • knowledge of child development.
