Join Our Journey of Transformation at Cornelius Vermuyden School

Cornelius Vermuyden School is now under the leadership of the South East Essex Academy Trust (SEEAT), in collaboration with other local Multi Academy Trusts. Together, we are embarking on a significant phase of improvement and innovation. We are poised for transformation, and we need your expertise and passion to help us on our journey.

We are seeking a Finance Manager to overseeall aspects of financial management and control, including accounting, records, financial operations, and financial management information in accordance with Trust, DFE (Department for Education) & ESFA (Educational and Skills Funding Agency) Financial Regulations. The successful candidate will work with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and external finance support in all aspects of planning, forecasting, and budgeting.

You might be an experienced Finance Officer looking to take the next step in your career, or an established Finance Manager looking for a new challenge - what's most important to us is that you have the expertise, passion, and drive to support our work in improving Cornelius Vermuyden School.

Some hybrid working may be possible and we're open to part-time applications although, we'll be honest, there's a lot to do and you'll need to be on-site for at least 3.5 days each week.

If you join us at Cornelius Vermuyden School you should expect your work to be impactful - you will directly contribute to the uplifting and turnaround of our school, affecting lasting change in the community. You will be part of a dynamic team under the new Executive Headteacher from SEEAT, offering numerous opportunities for professional development and career advancement.

Join us in the Autumn term and be part of the change at Cornelius Vermuyden School.

Let's reshape the future together.

For more information, or to arrange an informal chat with Nigel Brunning - Interim CFO, or Desi McKeown - Executive Headteacher, about the role please email hr@seeat.org. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted on 9th September 2024.

Cornelius Vermuyden School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects its entire staff to share this commitment. All post-holders working in our school will be considered to work in Regulated Activity and will be required to have an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS). In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance, all shortlisted candidates may be subject to online searches that may include social media. Information about the School

South East Essex Academy Trust (SEEAT) is a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) with eight schools.

SEEAT was inaugurated on 1st April 2014. It was made up from Westcliff High School for Girls, Prince Avenue Academy, Nursery and Children’s Centre (sponsored by WHSG) and Rochford Primary School and Nursery. The Trust enlarged on 1st September 2014 with WHSG sponsoring the academisation of Holt Farm Junior School. In September 2021 The Deanes School, Hadleigh Junior School and The Westborough School joined us followed by Heycroft Primary School in January 2024.

We are a friendly, collaborative family of schools and we believe that all the schools in the family have become significantly stronger since working together as part of SEEAT.

We are looking to grow in a measured way over the next few years. If you are interested in joining us, we would be happy to talk to school leaders and governors about your options and to share how we believe SEEAT could make a positive difference to the pupils, staff, and families in your school.

Please contact HR at hr@seeat.org for recruitment queries or info@seeat.org for other queries.
