Wishes to appoint a

Learning Support Assistant

Salary: Band A Point 1 - 6

(£15,863.51 - £17,047.60 per annum)

Or

Band B Point 7-12 (Band B will be considered for experienced candidates, then quote the range and salary)
(£17,339.19 - £18,856.72)

31 hours 15 minutes per week
Monday - Friday 8:35am - 3:20pm (30 min unpaid break)
37 weeks of the year - term time only


Start Date: September 2024


Stanford-le-Hope Primary School wishes to appoint a Learning Support Assistant who has a good understanding of child development and learning and would be willing to support children with both their physical and academic needs.

You will have a passion for working with pupils and assisting them on their journey. You will need to understand the subjects that you support the children in, be able to demonstrate a fair attitude and apply rules consistently as well as be confident in adjusting learning programs to meet the child's needs. You will be resilient, hardworking and have excellent de-escalation skills.

The successful candidate will be:

Keen to support pupils with learning, emotional and behavioural difficulties   
Committed to raising outcomes of all students  
A great communicator with excellent organisational skills and a helpful attitude  
Enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team

Cares about the welfare and achievement of every child  
Innovative and has a passion for improvement  
Excellent written skills with the ability to multi-task  
The ability to remain calm under pressure and remain positive   
The ability to follow safeguarding procedures and prioritise students' welfare   
Have GCSE Maths and English
