We are looking to appoint a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join our 'Outstanding' EYFS team, to work with a named child with SEND, with immediate effect.
The role will be to support a child with a range of learning and behavioural needs and promote our school vision (see attached)
The post holders will need to be able to follow a 'One Plan' under the guidance of the Class Teacher and SENCO.
Working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:35am to 3:05pm (30 minute lunch break). 30 hours per week. Term-time only plus non-pupil days.
The successful candidates should have the following:
· Experience of working with and supporting children with additional needs
· Strong behaviour management skills
· Experience of supporting pupils with a range of needs e.g. Autism, Learning and speech and / or language difficulties
· Able to support the child's medical needs and willing to deal with intimate care needs
· Knowledge of successful strategies to engage pupils with specific and significant needs
· Is able to demonstrate patience, calmness and flexibility at all times
· A commitment to high achievement from pupils and themselves
· Excellent organisation and inter-personal skills
· Good standard of education: Maths and English GCSE grades A-C or equivalent
· Good knowledge of ICT
· Flexibility and a good sense of humour
· The ability to use their own initiative
· Willing to undertake training and support individual needs
Pay Scale 3 point 5 - FTE £23500
Actual Salary £16,335.18 (less than 5 yrs exp.) or £16,554.44 (5 yrs or more exp)
