Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Salary: Essex Scale 6 Point 13-17
£23,038.15 - £24,664.44 actual salary per annum
Additional Outer Fringe Allowance - £590.68 per annum
37 hours per week
Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:00pm, Friday - 8:00am - 3:30pm (30-minute unpaid break)
39 weeks per year, term time plus inset days
Start Date: 1st October 2024
We are looking for an inspiring Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team in September 2024. As a HLTA, your primary role will involve collaborating with the Deputy Headteacher responsible for the Quality of Education. Your focus will be on supporting students in developing their language and literacy skills, including those with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and students with low reading levels.
Your responsibilities will include implementing targeted interventions to enhance student achievement. Specifically, you'll work with students identified as needing support in improving their knowledge and understanding of the English language. Additionally, you'll provide interventions to assist the lowest 20% of readers within the school.
