Pastoral Support Officer

Contract term: Permanent Immediate Start

Hours: 37 hours per week Term Time & Inset Days

Salary: Scale 3 Point 5 - 6 Actual Salary: £20993 - £21617 (depending on experience)

We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic people to support the behaviour and pastoral care of pupils in our school. The successful candidate will be a committed individual who will develop a comprehensive understanding of our students' behaviour and welfare needs as well as the ethos of our school in order to provide outstanding operational support to promote whole school behaviour strategies. This role is an exciting and varied one dedicated to improving student welfare by providing great levels of guidance to our students and families in a supportive role to our heads of year and pastoral team.

The school has recently been inspected by Ofsted and to quote the Lead Inspector; "This is a very good school with an outstanding Sixth Form." "Pupils are proud to attend Roding Valley High School. From the time they arrive in Year 7, to when they leave the sixth form, they respond to leaders' high expectations. Parents are positive about the education the school provides.
