Due to the expansion of our opening hours from November 2024 or January 2025, we are now looking for a new colleague to help with our After School Care for children ages 2-11 during term times.
The role is either five days a week from 4-6.30pm, Monday-Friday, term-time only, or four days (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri).
You will love looking after the children who are staying after school, ensuring that they are relaxed and happy and engaging in activities suitable for their 'down time'.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Level 2 in a child-centred area or comparable experience or qualification preferred, but not essential;
Paediatric first aid certificate, or the ability to complete (via the School) before starting the role if not a current holder;
Ability to complete food hygiene qualification as above, if not a current holder;
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Clear rapport with children;
- Proactive in engaging with children;
- Excited and able to support children's relaxation time, both indoors and outside;
- Kind, honest, fair;
- Collaborative, conversational, friendly;
- Energetic, happy, creative;
- Able to offer children snacks and drinks prepared by the kitchen and encourage good manners when eating;
- Ensure that children are received from their class teachers, or from after school clubs, signing them in to After School Care, and handing them over personally to parents when they come to collect them;
- Able to liaise with parents and colleagues appropriately;
- Ensuring safeguarding concerns are dealt with and passed directly to the DSL;
