Teaching Assistant
Pay Scale: New Thurrock Local Government Scale, Band A point 3 - 5 plus SEN allowance (approx. £14,600 actual)
25 hrs per week - 45.8 wks per year (1 extra paid week after 5 years of service)
Required - November 2024
We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work in partnership with a class teacher to support pupils' learning. This may involve supporting all of the students in the class and/or providing 1:1 support for a named student.
Previous experience of working with children with special educational needs whilst not essential, is preferable.
Treetops School is a special academy catering for pupils with a wide range of needs including moderate learning difficulties, speech and communication difficulties, autism and general developmental delay. We have been judged outstanding by Ofsted in our last four inspections, the most recent being February 2020.
The school is also the lead for the Thurrock Teaching School Alliance (TTSA).
